SCOTT TEETERS

Scott was one of those kids in school that was called, “artistic.” At a very young age he started drawing rockets, tanks, jets, maps, machines, and cars. Yes, LOTS of cars.

With an excellent education in mechanical drawing Scott began  work experience as a draftsman and a technical illustrator. In the mid-'70s, he started a long career in automotive magazine illustration and writing. By the late ‘70s Scott recognized that heneeded more illustration skills, so heattended Philadelphia College of Art night school for Illustration and began to build up a large portfolio.

From 1982 to 1992, Scott worked on his own as a freelance commercial artist while continuing to do car magazine work. In 1992, Scott was hired on as a designer for Tyco Toys and spent the next 9 years learning the toy business and having a lot of fun.

Since 2001, Scott has been back in the freelance game and is still in the magazine business with a 12-year old monthly column for Vette Magazine titled, "The Illustrated Corvette Series."  He has also had series in the following automotive magazines: VW & Porsche, Guide to Muscle Cars, Fabulous Mustangs & Exotic Fords, Muscle Car Classics, IHRA Drag News, & VETTE Magazine.
